Fingerboarding since 2005, I live and make decks lost in the woods in a cabin I built in 2018.
My full time job is electronic musician as 's8jfou'. Deckmaker only for love.
I will never want deckmaking to become my job. I love taking my time using only handtools to approach the perfection as much as possible and keep the will to handpaint unique decks.
I am not into productivity.
Why handtools ?
Since years I work with wood, I used all kind of machines, built many different things like this wooden sailboat. Powered tools are unprecise, noisy, needs electricity, and they can die. Handtools are precise, silent, works everywhere, and they last life.
Achieving a work only with your hands is a feeling that only passionate can understand. I also love to be self sufficient, I produce my own electricity, handtools are perfect for my situation in the woods.
